In preparation to provide the required humanitarian support.. GOPA-DERD team visits Idlib

GOPA-DERD Director-General Archimandrite Meletius Shattahi visited Idlib Governorate to assess the situation, in preparation for GOPA-DERD team to start implementing humanitarian projects and programs within the various sectors of humanitarian work, to meet the actual needs in the governorate.

The visit included getting to know the local authorities and discussing the humanitarian reality of the governorate, reviewing the nature and type of projects implemented in this context, visiting the camps to inspect the service reality there, and discussing the possibility and mechanism of providing the required humanitarian support as soon as possible. In addition, Fr. Meletius met with Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Atassi, Director of the HAC Office in Aleppo and Idlib, to coordinate humanitarian work in the two governorates and introduce the work and activities of GOPA-DERD team in these two areas and in all Syrian territories.
