To Support Farmers: Markets for Rural Products in Tartous and Hama
With the aim of supporting local farmers and enhancing livelihoods, GOPA-DERD’s “KAMEH” program’s team, organized markets for rural products in both Tartous and Hama governorates.
These markets aim to support the products of beneficiaries of the food processing units by providing a platform to market their products directly, such as cheese and dairy products, vegetables and fruits, olives and other rural varieties and products, in addition to building new relationships with customers and traders, which contributes to expanding the scope of marketing, ensuring continued demand for products, improving household income and strengthening the local economy.
It is worth noting that GOPA-DERD’s “KAMEH” program’s team, had previously provided beneficiaries with the necessary equipment for processing units, accompanied by solar energy systems that ensure the continuity of work and reduce production costs. In addition, the beneficiaries were professionally trained on managing their own projects and developing their products to become of high quality and market value.
