GOPA-DERD’s team provides the intial response to thouse arriving from ‎Lebanon

As a part of the initial response efforts to provide humanitarian support to those arriving from Lebanon due to recent events, GOPA-DERD’s “Darb” Center’s team in Al-Qusayr, Homs, distributed dignity kits to incoming women and girls, and provided psychological first aid and necessary medical aid to the arrivals.

GOPA-DERD’s mobile team also provided medical examinations and some health awareness sessions, in cooperation with UNFPA.

The team also conducted a needs assessment of the area through focus group discussions with incoming families and the host community.

It is worth noting that the initial response efforts included several areas such as the city of Al-Qusayr, the village of Rablah, and some border villages such as Hawik and Aqrabiya.
