GOPA-DERD implements an emergency response by providing humanitarian support to those displaced from Lebanon, GOPA-DERD’s team welcomed families arriving from Lebanon to the city of Tabqa in Raqqa.
GOPA-DERD team also conducted home visits and distributed NFIs kits that included mattresses, blankets, kitchen tools, solar-powered lamps, and others. In addition, sessions were implemented that varied between psychosocial support and health awareness.
In turn, GOPA-DERD’s “Darb” Center’s team visited number of Syrian refugee returnees from Lebanon to the city of Qusayr in Homs, where the team provided basic first aid and the necessary medical consultations for pregnant women.
The team also implemented awareness sessions that included psychosocial first aid, gender-based violence, and health awareness. In addition, dignity kits were distributed for women and girls, and recreational games for children were provided. This took place in cooperation with UNFPA.
