Relief Initiatives to Support Those Affected by the Khabur Flood
The recent flooding of the Khabur River has significantly impacted communities living along its banks, and humanitarian efforts have intensified to provide urgent support to affected families.
Therefore, as part of the initial response and with the aim of providing humanitarian support to those affected, GOPA-DERD’s “Darb” Center’s team in Hasakah, conducted a field visit to the affected neighborhoods submerged by the floodwaters.
The team also distributed basic supplies, including solar-powered lighting, blankets, and dignity kits for women and girls. This took place in cooperation with UNFPA.
In a related context, GOPA-DERD’s team in Hasakah distributed family hygiene kits, in cooperation with OXFAM.
