EU Commissioner visits one of GOPA-DERD Centers in Damascus

Ms. Haja Lahbib, EU Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis ‎Management, together with Mr. Gonzalo Vargas Liosa, UNHCR ‎Country Representative in Syria, and GOPA-DERD’s team visited ‎GOPA-DERD’s Community Centre‏ ‏in Al-Duwaila, Damascus, to see ‎the services provided and the various activities implemented there.‎

During the visit, the delegation participated in a focused session on ‎the Psychosocial Support Program, and an awareness session on the ‎Gender-Based Violence Program. The delegation also met with the ‎women participating in the sessions and listened to them about their ‎needs.
