GOPA-DERD’s team celebrates World Children’s Day

Many countries around the world celebrate World Children’s Day on the 20th of November each year, to highlight on children’s rights and focus on their care and well-being.

It serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting children from all forms of abuse and exploitation, ensuring their rights to health, education, play, and comprehensive care.

Since this day given the significant nature for reflecting on the challenges facing children globally and working towards a better future for them, GOPA-DERD’s team celebrated World Children’s Day, by implementing a group of various activities in many Syrian governorates.

The activities included recreational activities, awareness campaigns, physical games, interactive theater performances, drawing sessions, and exhibitions of photos made of children, in both Damascus and Rural Damascus, Jableh, Al-Haffa and Al-Datour in Latakia, As-Suwayda, Ghabagheb and Izraa in Daraa, Sheikh Khuder in Aleppo, and Banan al-Hoss and Quneitrat in Rural Aleppo, Raqqa, and Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakah.

GOPA-DERD’s Dream Center’s team in both Al-Hasakah and Qamishli, conducted a series of activities for more than 100 children, in cooperation with IOCC.

In Tartous, GOAP-DERD “Hand-in-Hand” project’s team implemented an initiative entitled “Be My Friend” for more than 80 children, which included interactive activities, in cooperation with UNICEF.
