After restoration... Dael's bakery returns to life and produces bread
As a step towards enhancing local self-sufficiency and affirming every individual’s right to safe and accessible food, and after the completion of the restoration and rehabilitation works of Dael bakery, the bakery production line was tested with success. This was implemented by GOPA-DERD’s team, in cooperation with SHF, and in the presence of the mayor and members of the local community.
It is worth noting that the restoration and rehabilitation works carried out over a period of 75 days included civil, architectural, electrical and sanitary works. In addition, the new automated line was supplied, installed, operated and implemented within 45 days, to production a bread with a capacity of 15 tons of flour within 24 working hours.
Dael bakery restoration and rehabilitation project is considered one of the vital projects, that aim to enhance the infrastructure and improve the efficiency and quality of bread production to meet the needs of the local community, as it will benefit more than 90,000 individuals in the Dael area and the surrounding villages.
