From Rehabilitation to Recovery … 20 Shops Resume Operations in Rural Hama
As part of efforts to enhance livelihoods and support economic recovery, GOPA-DERD’s team, in cooperation with DKH, implemented the restoration and rehabilitation of 20 shops in Hama Governorate, distributed equally between the towns of Kernaz and Kafr Zita, with 10 shops in each town.
The restoration work included repairing damages and rehabilitating the shops, including interior finishing, plastering, painting, installing store fronts and metal shutters, and laying ceramic and marble flooring, alongside carrying out electrical and sanitary wiring and installing basic fixtures, preparing the shops to resume their commercial activities.
This step aims to assist shop owners in restoring their businesses and to enhance the sustainability of local commercial activities, thereby contributing to improving living conditions and supporting economic activity in the area.
