3 Schools in As-Sweida Regain Their Educational Readiness After Restoration Work
As part of supporting the educational process and providing a safe and suitable learning environment for students, GOPA-DERD’s team, in cooperation with UNICEF, carried out the rehabilitation and restoration works for three schools—primary, preparatory, and secondary—in As-Sweida, coinciding with the start of the new academic year.
The rehabilitation works included aluminum joinery, wooden carpentry, comprehensive painting works, as well as the maintenance and installation of iron doors, contributing to the improvement of school facilities and preparing them to welcome students into a safer and more suitable educational environment.
The rehabilitation of some schools carries particular importance, as they were previously used as a shelter centers for displaced families, creating an essential need to rehabilitate its facilities and prepare it to resume their educational role.
These projects come within the framework of GOPA-DERD’s continuous efforts to support students, contribute to the continuity of the educational process, and uphold children’s right to education.
