GOPA-DERD’s team implements restoration and rehabilitation project for the Real Estate Registry Building in Maaret al-Numan / Idlib.
Affirming the importance of rehabilitating government buildings to ensure the provision of basic services to citizens, GOPA-DERD’s team implemented restoration and rehabilitation project for the Real Estate Registry Building in the city of Maaret al-Numan in Idlib Governorate, in cooperation with UNHCR.
The restoration work on the building, which was out of service, included cladding the exterior facades, installing doors and windows with metal window guards, re-tiling, painting the walls, insulating the roof floor, extending sewage and fresh water lines, supplying the building with water tanks, extending electricity lines to all rooms and installing light points and fans.
The building was supplied with three solar energy systems to ensure the continuity of electricity supply during official working hours.
This project is an important step towards restoring basic services in the region, and it allows for the reactivation of the Real Estate Registry Building services in Maaret al-Numan, and provides the ability of the region’s residents to obtain data on their real estate properties locally, without having to travel to the city of Idlib.
