GOPA-DERD is the first organization in the Syrian Arab Republic to obtain membership in the Global Alliance for Core Humanitarian Standards on Quality and Accountability – CHS Alliance.
CHS Alliance is a global alliance founded in 2015. Its membership includes humanitarian and development organizations committed to improving the quality of humanitarian services provided, united by a shared belief that they exist to provide higher quality and more effective assistance through their accountability towards beneficiaries.
CHS Alliance is devoted to enhancing accountability and place people affected by crises at the heart of humanitarian work, by applying the core humanitarian standards, which are nine commitments, each of which is supported by a quality standard that indicate how humanitarian organizations and their staff work, with the aim of reaching the highest level of commitment required.
