Various activities and campaigns were organized by GOPA-DERD’s team in most areas, in unification with several international days during the month of June.

In Daraa, and on the occasion of World Environment Day, GOPA-DERD’s Community Center’s team implemented various activities for more than 40 children, including recreational activities and awareness sessions. This took place in cooperation with UNHCR.

GOPA-DERD implemented various campaigns and activities in several areas, on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labor, including awareness sessions about the negative effects of child labor, implemented by GOPA-DERD’s “Dream” centers’ team in both Al-Hasakah and Qamishli, in cooperation with IOCC. Recreational and awareness activities were implemented by the Community Center’s team in Al-Haffa, Jableh and Al-Datour in Latakia, Sahnaya in Rural Damascus, Jebab and Izraa in Daraa, and in As-Suwayda, in cooperation with UNHCR. GOPA-DERD team in Hama also provided recreational activities and an awareness session for children in one of the shelters in the city.

On the occasion of the International Elder Abuse Awareness Day, GOPA DERD’s team implemented a series of various recreational and awareness activities in several areas, including the exhibition “A Feather and a Crutch” organized by GOPA-DERD’s Community Center’s team in Al-Haffa, Lattakia, for handicrafts and drawings that the elderly made and painted. Additionally, recreational activities for the elderly and awareness sessions for caregivers were provided by GOPA-DERD’s team in each of As-Suwayda, Jebab, Izraa and Daraa, psychological support activities in Sheikh Khader, Aleppo. This took place in cooperation with UNHCR.

In Al-Hasakah, GOPA-DERD’s “Dream” Center’s team implemented various activities for women, in cooperation with IOCC.

GOPA-DERD’s “Beituna” Center’s team also carried out a group of activities and sessions, in the villages of al-Muzaina and al-Qalatiya in Wadi al-Nasara, in cooperation with NCA.

On the occasion of World Refugee Day, GOPA-DERD’s team implemented various activities in several areas:

In Jaramana, Rural Damascus, GOPA-DERD team organized a celebration that varied between adaptation methods, musical activities and workshops, in cooperation with IOCC. The team also carried out several activities in Jdeidet Artouz, Rural Damascus, with the participation of refugee families, which included learning about the cultures of some countries and the diversity of their heritage. In addition, various recreational activities for children were implemented.
