A delegation from WCC visited one of GOPA-DERD’s social centers in Rural Damascus, and were briefed about the services provided at the social center and on their importance.

A delegation including Rev. Dr. Ioan Sauca, Acting General Secretary of WCC, Dr. Michel Abs, Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches, Mr. Rudelmar Bueno de Faria, General Secretary of the ACT Alliance, accompanied by GOPA-DERD Director-General Archimandrite Meletius Shattahi.

During the visit, the delegation participated in some activities implemented for children in the center, where the delegation sought the positive impact and the services it provides to local communities.
